DC Partners was established to invest the founders’ assets in real estate that would provide higher yields than those available from traditional investment vehicles. Unencumbered by a complex management structure, the partners have been able to act quickly and seize opportunities during periods of uncertainty. By adhering to a philosophy of investing in properties with significant in-place cash flow, and then increasing that cash flow through more effective management, DC Partners’ portfolio has grown to a substantial multiple of its initial size in just six years. Today, the portfolio is comprised of 1.3 million square feet of hospitality, retail and industrial assets in 6 states. The portfolio includes properties in northeast markets including NJ and CT, as well as high-growth markets in the south including Raleigh, Nashville, Charlotte and San Antonio. Going forward, the company intends to maintain its growth trajectory through the pursuit of a combination of ground up development and repositioning of existing well-located assets.
The company benefits from its partners' unique blend of expertise across disciplines. Past experience in entrepreneurial endeavors, global private equity, investment banking, architecture, and construction shape the company's culture and approach. DC Partners seeks to invest with a differentiated viewpoint, identifying assets whose return characteristics are under-appreciated by other investors, and utilizing its long-term horizon as a key competitive advantage. The company has a proven track record of acquiring assets at a favorable basis and repositioning them to generate above-market returns. While the firm is aggressive in sourcing and pursuing new opportunities, it is committed to maintaining the investment discipline that has resulted in the strong performance to date. Most importantly, paramount to returns is the partners’ dedication to upholding their reputation for honesty and integrity.
